Fantastic Wallpapers & Where to Find Them

Including a Pattern Inspired by My Favorite Book Series!

If you’ve known me (or followed me on Instagram) for a while, you know my affinity for wallpaper. Sometimes, paint just doesn’t do it. In fact, one of my current projects has specifically requested wallpaper for each space we’re working on! Wallcoverings can take a design from fine to fantastic. Below are some patterns that have been catching my eye recently, including one I’ve used in a previous design.

Shop each brand (linked below) or send me a message to set up a consultation with me & I’ll find the perfect paper for you!

Barely There

Something about this provocative print speaks to the artist in me. It reminds me of the figure studies I practiced in school and inspires me to pick up the pencil for a different kind of drafting. Given the opportunity to include this print in a design, I’d love to see it in a powder room or dressing room.

Lincoln Toile

With each new project and client, I have the chance to subtly define my own style. A traditional print that has grown on me in recent years is toile, though this one is not a classic toile. Perhaps that’s why I’m so drawn to it! The use of several earthy shades (rather than one, traditionally) makes this Thibaut paper an option I’ll keep in my library for a while. In a home, this would make a lovely oasis for a home office.

Camille Peony & Lily

I’ll be honest, red is not a hue I naturally gravitate toward. but something about this shade of red makes me want to design an entire room around it. A little Arts & Craft, a little feminine, and a lot of warmth, a formal dining room would shine with Camille on its walls.

Bird and Blossom Chinoiserie

Chinoiserie is Chinese-inspired French pattern style. You may recognize the Bird and Blossom from my Gatsby Apartment project! The bathroom in this apartment is on the smaller side but with tall-ceilings, we still had the opportunity to make a statement. And that it does. One of my most-liked posts on Instagram is a Before & After including this wallpaper. We used the White and Gold color way but Black and Gold is absolutely gorgeous, too.

Finally, the wallpaper based on my favorite book series: Harry Potter.

Harry Potter Map Peel + Stick Wallpaper

Of course, this isn’t for everyone, but anyone who has read (and loves) this magical series will certainly appreciate the homage paid by this print.

Note: peel + stick wallpaper is not the easiest to install. Small spaces, like accent walls or the inside of a bookcase, are better suited for this challenging wall covering.
